Legends and their story untold now are making a violin entry

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Music can shape nations, likewise Violins can shape life. (Their origin comes from the Latin lands, ‘vitula’ meaning a stringed instrument.) The Violins are rich instruments of influence, they are made by Luthiers, or plainly the Violin makers, who have been crafting the modern version of the violins since the 16th century in Italy, these are Italian families that have been crafting (giving importance to kind of wood, too).  There are many such makers like Gasparoda Salo, Giovanni Paolo Maggini and Stradivari that are considered legendary.

It’s good to be influential, but heck, it’s even better to play with the influence of the 4 stringed families. The somberness of the notes melting away in your own fingertips and the Violin bow piecing away the variety on the GDAE and the large resonant boom of the Violas. Time and time again, man has always chosen leisure. Strings have become his friends because there is this thing about having a ‘sole’ (read: soul) friend that you can take away to wherever your feet allow. Thus, don’t give up on those moments of power, when your will is rested on your chin and the destiny is in the grip of fingers and life comes out as a medley that provokes a million other spirits, to listen (and sigh, mostly remorsefully if they don’t have an instrument). Don’t worry, its takes a maximum of two years to learn any skill. There are Violin rentals that can lead you forth, go ahead. Get your Viola,Violin (both with a Violin Bow, of-course), get instructed and get playing. Einstein used to play his Violin whenever he was bored out of his wits; somehow that ‘leisure’ did lead him to his perfection. I say, search your inner being – rest your fingers on those four and find the instrument within. (more…)

Fundamentals of Various Stringed Instruments-Violin, Cello, Viola

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

Cellos, violins and violas are types of string instruments. A stringed instrument is one which generates sound due to the vibration of the strings present. The violin comes with four strings and is tuned in the perfect fifths. Musical instruments like the cello and the viola are aid to belong to the violin family which is said to have been developed in sixteenth century Italy. But how are violins, cellos and violas different from each other. The violin is the smallest of the three but is the most high pitched. The viola, on the other hand, comes in between the violin and the cello. The cello is larger than both, the violin and the viola. The cello produces a very deep and rich sound. It is played by resting o the instrument on the floor in between the two legs.

Gettingcello is not a good an easy task. There are several factors that must be considered before buying one. You must check the tone of the instrument in order to determine its quality. A cello must have a loud sound, in fact the louder a cello is the better it is. As the cello ages its sound gets better and deeper.  This is because cellos are made of wood and as the wood ages and becomes hard the resonance of sound improves. When selecting a cello you must make sure that the plates are not very thin; else the sound produced will deteriorate. (more…)

Become Rich By Giving Your Music Away For Free

It this age of cyber technology and advanced collaboration, it is advantageous for savvy independent music companies and artists to start harnessing the power of file-sharing, social networking, and Online collaboration. I’m sorry to bust your bubble, but record companies simply aren’t checking for artists right now. They are too busy scurrying like roaches when lights come on, suing anyone they can prosecute for piracy, and trying to figure how they are going to continue to fuck artist out of millions of dollars using emerging technologies. This state of turmoil puts you my friend in a very powerful position. Believe me, no fan is his or her right state of mind is going to choose a record company over an artist-sorry Bad Boy Entertainment, but the days of the label overshadowing the artists are done. The fans are no dummies, they want to connect with the artists on a personal level and feel as if they are partners in the success of artists. In some aspects, the fans contributions, suggestions, taste, and opinions have a direct effect on the success or failure of an artist or band. For the life of me, I could never understand how an artist’s ego becomes so inflated that they begin to ignore, alienate, or disrespect the very folks that bought them the big house, sparkly jewelry, and fancy car.

Back when the cassette tape was still king, street vendors would bootleg every and any song that was being played on popular radio. Many complained that this was taking money out of the artist’s pockets and was the worst thing to happen to music since William Hung. I have personally witnessed an irrational rap star beat a street vendor halfway to death with his own box of cassettes because somewhere in his pea brain he justified his behavior by believing that the little bit of money the vendor was making from bootlegging was preventing him from ballin. Ha! What jackassary was this? What the rapper didn’t realize is that consumers would bought the bootleg version of album would eventually grow tired of a poorly duplicated copy and eventually go out and buy the real deal. In addition, even if they didn’t buy his album, they would still become new fans that could potentially purchase concert tickets, t-shirts, and future albums, which are more powerful revenue streams.
